Why should I become or stay an SBIC member?
There are many benefits of SBIC membership.
- All members automatically receive a personal subscription to the Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry, the society's premier journal.
- Members publishing in JBIC can benefit from a 40% discount on online orders of Springer books via springer.com and all members will get free online access to Topics in Current Chemistry, the journal for topical, in-depth reviews covering all areas of chemistry.
- SBIC members are eligible for the SBIC Early Career Award, and the SBIC Student Travel Grants for ICBIC and regional BICs.
SBIC supports many conferences in the area of biological inorganic chemistry and we cannot do this without member support. SBIC members have access to the Members Only page on our website which is currently under development and is planned to include the membership database, educational resources as well as the option to post job opportunities. All this and knowing that you are included in the premier international society in your discipline should be reasons enough.
Dues are payable for January through December. The membership options and rates for 2026 are:
- Regular membership: USD 140/yr (CHF 114)
Discount membership (member from Low GDP Country*, student, or emeritus): USD 42/yr (CHF 34)
